Spinal cord lipoma

Definition

A rare group of malformation characterized by the presence of lipomatous mass in direct contact with the spinal cord. It includes dysraphic (extramedullary) spinal cord lipomas and non-dysraphic (intramedullary) spinal cord lipoma.
